A Three Hour Tour

We embarked on a three-hour sunset sail aboard Island Star to sample their exquisite onboard menu. The menu is lined with seafood appetizers, fresh salads made with local greens, and impressive entrees featuring steaks, fresh fish, and lobster. All of the food is prepared fresh on board by crew members. In addition to being experienced sailors, the crew aboard Island Star are also talented chefs and service professionals.

We started with the ahi sashimi and California rolls. The fish was undoubtedly fresh and rivaled any other sushi restaurant on Maui. Next, we tried the Kula greens with raspberry vinaigrette.

As we waited for our entrees, we sipped champagne from the Island Star’s bar and enjoyed one of the best dining venues in the world. As the sun set, we indulged in our delightful entrees- rib-eye steak with mashed potatoes and grilled lobster. Finally, after our plates were nearly clean, we opted for deserts of strawberry angel cake and fresh fruit. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere aboard Island Star are equal to some of Maui’s finest establishments.
