Le Bazaar is a unique gem of a dining experience in North Kihei, South Maui. We were welcomed into a beautifully designed space with bright pillows, gold lanterns, and traditional art making it feel like we were in Morocco! Their rosewater gold hand-washing bowls were a happy surprise and a lovely way to begin a delicious feast.

The Attire
We were offered traditional Moroccan clothing for the meal, which took us to an entirely different place! We loved it. You don’t have to wear the robes, but it definitely makes things more festive and fun.
The Food
The 6-course meal was presented family-style so everyone could try the delicious variation of flavors. This restaurant is the owner’s long-time dream, so being authentic to his homeland is of great importance to him. The dishes are inspired directly from traditional Moroccan recipes and have delightful and distinct flavors that I’ve never experienced before. The soup, salad, and tagine were my favorites. The savory pastries looked delicious!! I have a lot of food restrictions (being gluten and dairy-free) and was able to eat many of the dishes. They do mention they are not able to accommodate individual dietary requests, although they can accommodate vegan diets.
The Ambiance
You wouldn’t expect this beautiful restaurant to be in a non-assuming shopping center but once you open the doors you’re transported to a truly singular space. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and the beautiful belly dancer was a feast for the eyes with amazing traditional costumes and some serious abdominal skills!
With the music and dancing, it felt like a full-on Moroccan party! If you feel so inclined you can get up and try out your best belly dancing moves too!
The whole experience was a delight and we look forward to another fun evening at Le Bazaar soon.
